Katie Tracy

Senior Regulatory Policy Advocate, Public Citizen

Katie Tracy is the senior regulatory policy advocate for Public Citizen’s Congress Watch division, where she works with her team and coalition partners to advocate for a strong federal regulatory system that safeguards people’s health, safety, and wellbeing from preventable harm.

Prior to joining Public Citizen, Katie served as the Chief Counsel to the Chairman at the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission. Before government service, Katie led the workers’ rights program as a senior policy analyst at the Center for Progressive Reform. She also previously worked with the Center for Effective Government/OMB Watch as a regulatory policy analyst.

Katie holds a J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, where she served as a Note and Comment Editor on the Administrative Law Review and a Senior Editor for the Sustainable Development Law & Policy brief. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the College of Charleston.
