WHAT: The Clean Budget Coalition will host a telephone press conference on Wednesday morning featuring several members of Congress and coalition leaders. Speakers will call for a clean FY 2017 budget – with no corporate-friendly or ideological riders – that funds and protects thriving families and communities. Instead, President Donald Trump has proposed a budget with deep and painful funding cuts that would harm American workers, consumers, women and families to reward his corporate cronies, the coalition maintains. Speakers will highlight specific communities and constituencies affected by the proposed budget and take questions from the press.
