WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Senate is expected to vote today on two Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolutions of disapproval: S.J. Res. 61 and H.J. Res. 98. Rachel Weintraub, executive director of the Coalition for Sensible Safeguards, released the following statement:

“This Congress has repeatedly used the CRA to try to overturn critically important regulatory safeguards. That threat continues with CRA votes on a rule reducing climate emissions on our nation’s highways and a rule that protects workers who have more than one employer impacting their working conditions. Today the CRA is jeopardizing fair workplaces and our planet’s future, but at least three dozen additional regulatory protections remain at risk. The CRA’s threat to the public’s health, safety, and wellbeing is clear and ever-present.”
